I started in the trade at 18, working alongside my father as a plasterer. That early experience gave me the drive to develop a broad skill set across building, plastering, plasterboard installation, and painting. He instilled a belief that if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly - even when no one’s watching. Early starts, long days, learning how materials really behave in New Zealand conditions, and understanding that a good finish isn’t rushed - it’s built layer by layer. That mindset shaped everything we do.
Over the years, I’ve continued to refine my craft, taking pride in delivering solid, high-quality workmanship across every job. With the support of my wife and my dad, who remains a full-time part of the business, what started as a trade has grown into a family-run company built on trust, reliability, and doing things properly.
Now at 41, with over 20 years of hands-on experience, I bring a well-rounded, practical approach to every project through Holfix Ltd

Early Foundations — Trade Passed Down
Norton’s introduction to the trade started on site, working alongside his father as a plasterer. This is where the standard was set - do the job properly, take pride in the finish, and stand by your work.

With over two decades of hands-on experience, Norton developed a well-rounded approach - combining technical skill with real-world efficiency on both residential and commercial projects.
Today — Holfix Limited
What started as a trade has grown into a family-run business, with Norton, his wife Hailie, and his father all part of the company. Holfix continues to operate with the same values it was built on - trust, consistency, and accountability.

We won’t cut corners to move faster, and we won’t leave something we wouldn’t be happy with in our own home. Most of our work comes from people passing our name on - and we take that seriously.
